Today is my birthday, which I which I celebrated by snoozing and listening to the welcome rain and talking to my sons when they called. I’m going to visit my NP tomorrow and I may have to wear a heart monitor and even get an ekg 😩my blood pressure goes from absolutely normal to ultra high back and forth.
I blacked out again a couple of days ago and got more bruises and a scrape along my face. This is nOT fun. I want to get back into the drawing and painting and visiting my DW friends. Everything is such an effort now.
What The Fuck Do I Do Now.
Max has gone into A-fib. Ahhhhhhh!
My youngest son who fortunately lives on the property with us has taken him down to the ER. And, fortunately? We’ve been through this before, but it usually takes a couple of days for Max to get back in sync. What the hell? I couldn’t make this stuff up. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see if max can come home sometime tonight. If worse comes to worse, #5 can take me to surgery and back. But…. Damn
So I’m finally back and I find out that MediaFire is a mess. I once again, finally had a neat painting to upload. It’s been too long since I’ve drawn/painted. I also had a picture of Son #2 “B” with Son # 3 “J” standing in front of #2’s helicopter. Both “boys” are military. B is a Chief Warrant Officer 4 and a 2 tour Iraqi war veteran. Son# 3, J is a pathologist and a major.

The thing is, I was so happy to see them together. It is a joy for me to see my sons s good friends to each other. That is all I need and want.

My oldest son and Son # 4 also spent the last week together. This brinme happiness and joy.
Which meant that we had no electricity. Which meant no water from our well and no internet! 😩 The horror! We also had no cell service for the week. There were 2 power lines down and sparking just above our property and 2 just below, believe it or not. The fire was terrifying, beyond what I felt during the 1989 San Francisco earthquake. This ice storm was just irritating, annoying and down right depressing.
My dw account got screwed up a couple of months back, and it seemed too much effort to bother with. But with the coming of the new year, I wanted to start up again and connect with people I consider friends. I’ve missed y’all.
I thought it would be nice to highlight some of the events of the last year. Two granddaughters were born, making 5 granddaughters in total from 5 sons. What the heck with all of these girls? God knew what he was doing giving me sons. I had brothers, no sisters. Ah well.

My youngest son graduated with a mathematics degree in April. He’s still looking for work in his field. I wanted to post a few pictures from this eventful year, but many pictures disappeared into the ether. I do wish I had a picture from the fires. One particular shot shows a black and orange sky at noon. Also would have shared the pic of the kid’s graduation picture. It tells you everything you need to know about my family. In the picture, he is wearing board shorts and flip flops. His community community college sweatshirt and then his university robes. In one hand is a pizza box, and the other a root beer bottle. It was hilarious.

Hopefully more to come before too long.
I have been gone so long, Dreamwidth dumped me? All I know is my circle was gone, and I couldn’t log in, so I guess I’m starting over.
The June Something is a good place to start.
New fandoms? I will never stray far from McShep, but I dearly loved Good Omens. Michael Sheen and David Tennant were just so, so wonderful. “The Umbrella Academy” rocked my world. As did “Locke and Key” No ships there. Just fun. I finally got the Husband to watch “Schittz Creek, so I got a rewatch. The surprising thing is that Max really adored it.

I usually come in very late to any of the good shows, like I got into SGA after the show went off the air, so it was really unusual for me to start with “The Magicians” when it began. I really disliked Alice Quinn , but she was the only one. Quentin and Eliot I is a pairing I love almost as much as John and Rodney
